Director of Housing Initiatives

The Director of Housing Initiatives provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and program development for the organization’s housing and shelter programs designed to serve individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. These are new or pilot programs, so the Director is expected to bring initiative, creativity, and entrepreneurial leadership to build, refine, and scale programs to meet evolving community needs. This includes developing program structure, strengthening operational systems, identifying best practices, securing partnerships, and ensuring long-term sustainability and measurable outcomes. The Director ensures programs operate in alignment with the organization’s mission, applicable to local, state and federal regulations, and ensures compliance with funding requirements.


Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is a key position for the continued growth of NEOCH. They are responsible for overall financial reporting and analysis, fiscal support, overseeing our internal controls, and billing our cost reimbursement invoices. Moreover, they will support the agency with HR and administrative duties such as onboarding, payroll, and Benefits and administration. This position requires a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls. The Finance Manager position must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

NEOCH Summer Internship

Students and non-students are welcome to apply for a summer internship with NEOCH. We are committed to building relationships with young people to help them develop an understanding of the root causes of homelessness and to build meaningful skills in community organizing, advocacy, writing, fundraising, graphic design, research, and more.

NEOCH is seeking interns who are available for at least 12 weeks between the months of May-September for a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Interns joined the NEOCH team and were able to take part in NEOCH’s four-pillar approach to ending homelessness: Street Outreach, Education, Advocacy, and Organizing. Our Intern program is designed to educate through hands-on experiences and direct action.

During the Intern Program, interns were able to:

  • Shadow our Street Outreach and canvassing

  • Take part in our Advocacy and Organizing meetings

  • Educate our community

  • Take part in webinars and workshops from program leaders and learn about homelessness directly from people who were/are unhoused

  • Organize their own direct action to help our Cleveland community
