Register now for our Organizing for Collective Action workshop. The class is Friday, March 15, 2019, from 10am to 3pm.  The training cost is free for participants. Organizing seeks to builds power for community to improve the lives of citizens and community by demanding change. Communities are much stronger when we come together and advocate for a right to decent, safe, and affordable housing.

 In this workshop, you will learn organizing basics: Why working together for collective action is important. The difference between building-based organizing and issue organizing. What needs to happen to change the balance of power.  Finally, participants will learn how to lay the foundation for an ongoing network of organizers.

This workshop is directed for those that care deeply about justice issues such as, affordable housing, LGBTQ activism, immigration reform, economic justice. Concern citizens, community members, activist, and anyone working to empower groups to take collective action is welcomed. The workshop focuses on multiple aspects of organizing and is beneficial for anyone committed to seeking a better world. This is a great opportunity for student.
