  • During 2012, achieved an occupancy rate of 94 %. At year end , CMHA had achieved it lowest amount of vacant unit since 1975

The Housing Choice Voucher Program

  • Total Program size is 15,000 vouchers 
  • Severs a total population of nearly 35,500
  • Utilization rate of 98% for tenant based vouchers
  • Completed more than 38,500 inspections

CMHA Police Department

  • CMHA Police made 1,359 arrests
  • More than 36,100 calls came into dispatch for service
  • Residents referred to social services through  PAR initiative is 1,827


·         Provided transportation for close to 9,000 trips for residents

Property Maintenance

·         Completed 142,887 work orders

·         Painted over 1,500 units


·         Through our Energy Performance Contract and other energy and water saving initiatives, CMHA over the past year, had saved tax payers nearly $4,000,000 by reducing consumption of water, electricity, and natural gas

·         CMHA has community gardens at nine estates throughout Cuyahoga County that provide fresh produce to the community

·         The Authority has five Green Teams, teaching urban farming and healthy living skills to CMHA residents

·         CMHA is adding over 30,000 square feet of new growing space for our community gardens and Green Teams

 21st Century Program

·         More Than 360 youth received services

·         Program experienced an overall 30% increase in the number of youth since 2011

·         Report card data indicated youth at King Kennedy, 76% improved their grades and 96% at Riverside Park improved in reading and math.

Reasonable Accommodations

·         Received and responded to more than 440 request
