What skills are you looking for in a volunteer? Good computer, clerical, and communication skills and maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency confidentiality policies.

Do you have daily activities for your volunteers?  Yes. Volunteers are needed to help sort and organize paperwork, make copies, and scan documents. Outdoor projects include keeping up the facility.

Do you have monthly projects available to your volunteers?  Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentorship Program. We ask that mentors commit to meeting with their mentee twice each month.

What skills are you looking for in a volunteer?  We greatly value our volunteers, students and work experience partners each year that give their time and expertise in a variety of areas (administration, external affairs, communications, fundraising, and health care, e.g.).

Health care providers (including doctors, nurse practitioners, dentists and specialists), nursing professionals and medical/dental assistants volunteer their expertise by supporting our staff and our patients. Care Alliance partners with several educational institutions to provide unique externship opportunities in medical records, billing and coding, finance, development, event planning and other areas of interest.

What skills are you looking for in a volunteer?  For our direct service opportunities, we are looking for volunteers who can participate in our comprehensive 20-hour volunteer training and then a make a year-long commitment (at least) to working for us. We ask that they be open to the learning process so that they can be the best advocates for the women and children we serve.

Do you have daily activities for your volunteers?  Yes. We have many opportunities: Hotline advocate, shelter work, support group facilitation, court escort, and childcare. 

Do you have monthly projects?  Yes. We have a Meals that Heal program where we are looking for individuals or groups to donate a personal meal to our shelter. We are always in need of this opportunity. Additionally, from time to time, we have service projects that we need help with.
