What skills are you looking for: For our direct service opportunities, we are looking for volunteers who can participate in our comprehensive 20-hour volunteer training and then a make a year long commitment (at least) to working for us. We ask that they be open to the learning process so that they can be the best advocate for the women and children we serve.

Description: Assisting with the needs of the individual programs and sites of MHS. For instance, a regularly scheduled arts and crafts activities, self-esteem and social skill building. Facilitating a life skills workshop for young and older adults. Organizing agency-wide 12 step programs at various sites. Helping individual sites/programs gather items of direct use client i.e. Resource referrals, and collaborative with other MHS partners. Creating an agency wide newsletter, and developing an on-going communication forum for volunteering groups. Establish and develop website content for volunteer information online.
