Request a Speaker from Street Voices

Street Voices is a program that connect homeless people with community groups to educate them about homelessness. We can arrange to have a current or formerly homeless speaker and staff or board member of the Coalition for the Homeless meet with your group. Our speakers can talk to your group for 15 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes, if there is an opportunity for questions. We can work with you to configure the format of the presentation. We ask that each engagement provide a $25 honorarium for the homeless individual, although we do not want this to be a barrier to having the Coalition speak. Arrangements can be made if your organization cannot afford the honorarium. Speakers cannot travel outside of Cuyahoga County without receiving some monetary transportation assistance. We would also like to offer your organization or individual participants the opportunity to sign up as a member of the Coalition, which means that you support the mission and work of the Coalition. While there is no fee for membership, we do ask for a gift as part of your membership. Please make checks payable to NEOCH or Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless. Your support helps us solve problems in the community that contribute to the increases in homelessness. Thank you for your support.
