We have a profile of Edwardo who passed away in 2005 added to our profiles section.  Edwardo had once lived at the Ward Bakery on Chester Ave. and was part of the stand off with the police.  They called the place Camelot and it was a palace. 

We also have a thank you to the employees of Forest City for collecting donations for homeless people.  We also have a number of other new entries on the blog.

We also have added two commentaries to the Member section of our website.  These are protected by password (available to only to members).  The first is regarding the need for shelter standards as an open letter to the County Council.   The second is an overview of problems associated with fair housing for homeless people in Cleveland.  Please renew your membership to gain access to the member section of the website, which includes our advocacy newsletter.

We have added our latest newsletter from March 31, 2013 (only available to NEOCH members).

We have also added a summary of the Continuing Resolution which funds the federal government through September 13, 2013.  This is also available on the member's hub section of the website and only available to those who login to the site.

We added Issue 34 to the Grapevine archive.  This was from mid 1999 and features a number of commentaries about homelessness in Cleveland and California.

We added a few statistics from First Call for Help from 2012 about their call volume which increased by 6% from 2011.  Once again housing/shelter tops their list for the past year. 

Finally, we added another press release about our efforts to increase the visability of our vendors locally.  We have uniformed our vendors to add to their credibility and compete against the panhandlers downtown.

We have added a new press release on the new Street Newspaper uniforms for our vendors.   This details the press conference for Thursday to view the new uniforms and hear from the individuals who will be selling the paper on the streets.  

Finally, we have added to the Street Newspaper archive with issue #32 from February 1999.  This is still in the days of welfare reform and repeated attacks on homeless people in cities throughout the United States, and we have a number of commentaries about these issues. 

Also there is plenty on the blog about the Annual Meeting and other updates.

We also added a press release about the Annual Report and the awards that we will give out on Wednesday night.  We are giving out five awards at the Annual Meeting.  We will also release our annual report and look ahead to 2013.

We added a new advocacy alert dealing with Sequestration and the impact on homeless people.  This alert urges those concerned about homeless people contact their Senator to urge them to restore the funding to programs serving fragile populations.
