presents a
 Housing 101  Workshop

 at NEOCH offices
3631 Perkins Ave. Third Floor

This workshop is directed at staff working with very low income and homeless people including social workers, case worker, and advocates.  One goal is to get more case workers signed up to use the Special Needs functions of Housing Cleveland.org

We will have presenters from:

*Cleveland Housing Court--  staff will talk Landlord Tenant Law and services available to help prevent eviction including the mediation services at the court.

*Housing Cleveland.org affordable housing web site to sign social workers up to use the special needs functions.

*Frontline Services (Formerly MHS). staff will provide an overview of Central Intake and Permanent Supportive Housing and how to access these units.

*Housing Research and Advocacy Center will provide information on fair housing laws and how to assert your rights under this key Civil Rights era law.

*Dept. of Veterans Affairs staff will talk about their housing and homeless related services.

The Housing 101 Workshop is $15 to receive 3 Social Work CEUs and $10 for those who do not need the CEUs.  You must register and pay before the event by completing the bottom part of this form.  The funds are for the wealth of materials, the food, and the time of the Coalition to put this together.  When we did not have a price on the workshop 12 to 15 people would sign up and then not show up.  This was unfair to the many people that we turn away from each workshop.  To download a copy of the flyer to include send in with your reservation download the .pdf below.  Send in your reservation to NEOCH  3631 Perkins Ave. #3A-3 Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
