CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS: NEOCH'S WINTER/SPRING VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION IS HERE

Do you want to use your skills and resources to help people experiencing homelessness in Cleveland? Do you have consistent long-term availability this winter and spring? Then volunteering at NEOCH is the right fit for you!

Each year there are thousands of people who are experiencing homelessness in Cleveland. NEOCH’s staff works tirelessly to assist unhoused and unsheltered community members through the housing process and provide compassionate and trauma-informed care. But we can’t do it alone. The time, skills, and resources that volunteers provide are crucial in our work.

On January 25th from 3 PM to 5 PM, NEOCH’s Development and Communications Director, Megan Crow, will be hosting our winter/ spring volunteer orientation at the NEOCH Office on 3631 Perkins Ave, in the third-floor conference room. A zoom link will be provided for those who are immunocompromised.

We are looking for volunteers to assist us with

  • Street Outreach: visiting, assisting, and building relationships with unsheltered people in Cleveland

  • Administrative Assistance: donation sorting, note taking, clerical work, office management, data entry, and staff support

  • Development and Communications: research, fundraising, social media management, content creation, grant research, and proofing

  • Organizing and Advocacy: canvassing for housing justice initiatives and data entry

  • Direct Service Housing Work: housing sourcing and locating and assisting case managers with housing orientations

Please apply only if you have consistent, long-term availability to volunteer.

Our volunteer orientations will be held quarterly, with our next orientation scheduled for April of 2023.
