Pancake Breakfast for NEOCH

Sponsored by

We hope that you will support the Coalition by attending the pancake breakfast being organized by the National Honor Society students at St. Josephs Academy.  We thank CareSource for providing the funds to buy the supplies for this fundraiser.  This is the first year for this collaboration, and we hope to raise the issue of the increases in family homelessness.  We anticipate another rough summer and we hope to distribute additional resources to meet the demand.

Hand Up Gala Success

There is still time to donate before the auction on Friday!

It was a great day at the Cosgrove on Thursday December 6.   We served 200 meals which included a fried okra appetizer with a cajun remoulade and a stuffed chicken with smoked mozzarella caramelized onion with a sweet potato mash and a chicken ajus.  They had asparagus as a side dish and a double chocolate cream pie for dessert.  Thanks to Matthew Barnes from LMM Central Kitchen for supervising the meal and preparing this great four star dinner.  Grace from Beaumont High School organized this entire event, and she should receive most of the credit.  Each table had a nice flower arrangement with table cloth and napkins donated by Executive Caterers.  Nicole and her staff at the Cosgrove did a great job.  The place looked fantastic, and the guests were so appreciative.   We had a two former students from the Cleveland Institute of Music who did a great selection of Christmas music. We will have a gallery of photos up on the website soon

There is still time to donate to this event.  The auction will not happen until later this week.   We are still looking for your help to support our outreach services and the Cosgrove working to help people with transportation by supporting the Hand Up Gala.

Black 'n White Ball Coming in June

The Alliance of Cleveland HUD tenants Fund Raiser

We’re in need of support and donations for the Alliance of Cleveland HUD Tenants Black n White ball fundraiser event, which will support low income housing tenants.  We are hosting this fundraiser at the Double Tree hotel on Lakeside on June 2, 2012. Our keynote speaker will be Ohio state senator Nina Turner and Councilman T. J. Dow.  Tickets tickets are $40.00 per person to help Tenants go on a lobbying/training trip to Washington DC.  We need your help to send a group of tenants to the National  Alliance of HUD Tenants conference in Washington D.C.  We want to make sure that the voice of Cleveland low income tenants are heard in DC.  There is a great deal of budget cutting going on in DC directed at seniors, low income tenants, and the disabled.  As part of the conference, we want to meet with federal elected officials to discuss the impact of the cuts on our constituents in Cleveland.

Over the years, ACT was a part of the Cleveland Tenants Organization and advocated for tenant rights and voting rights. We are asking if you can’t come to this event to support us with a donation of any amount you choose.  We need your help to make this event a success.

Send donations to the Cleveland Tenants Organization  3631 perkins ave. Suite 3a-4 Cleveland Ohio 44114.  Make checks payable to Alliance of Cleveland HUD Tenants and mark Black and White Ball in the memo section.
