Homeless Men and Women Who Died in 2005

         

On December 21st, 2005, in honor of National Homeless Person's Memorial Day, the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH) and Care Alliance held a candlelight vigil at a local meal site.  We remembered those homeless people of the Cleveland area who had passed away in 2005 while struggling to overcome poverty.  The volunteers of St. Patrick’s Meal Site at West 38th and Bridge Ave. opened their doors for the vigil before their evening meal at 4:45 pm. on the first day of winter.

Unfortunately, many homeless people die anonymously.  Whether or not someone is able to identify them, all of these people have dignity and were remembered by those gathered.  Below is a list of names of those homeless people from the Cleveland area known to have passed away last year:
